CFSC London Exposure visit from 21-24 October 2018

Understanding the need to expand the knowledge and gather better understanding on how cities can cater to the needs of children, a study tour to London was organized as part of CFSC initiative on 22st Oct- 23th Oct. The study tour included knowledge-sharing sessions with experts from UK and field trips to a number of good initiatives in London city. The study tour was planned with an intention to learn how London city has carried forward some of its innovative planning, urban design, and community development strategies and further adopted to better respond to needs of children at city, borough and neighbourhood scales. The focus area included parks and play spaces, living environment, early childhood facilities, and schools and child-care centres. The visit served to advocate prioritization of children's needs through demonstration of practical and impactful interventions. Additionally greatly helped better learn the impact of effective communication to scale up initiatives.
